Igor Castro scored the first and only game in the match to see Zob Ahan beat Al Hilal for the second time in a month and reach the final of the AFC Champions League.
The only goal of the match came from an Osama Hawsawi’s defensive error and occurred in 54th minute. The goal and the win sets up a clash against Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in Tokyo on November 13.

Hadadifar’s free-kick 57 minutes into the first-leg encounter settled the contest in the Iranians’ favour and extend Al Hilal’s away-day misery in this season’s competition.

Al Ittihad breezed into the final of the AFC Champions League as a 2-1 win over Nagoya Grampus in their semi-final second-leg encounter at Mizuho Athletic Stadium on Wednesday secured an 8-3 aggregate victory.
The Saudi side had won the first-leg in Jeddah 6-2, meaning Nagoya would need to score at least four goals to have any hope of progressing and though they made a bright start, Al Ittihad in the end proved too strong as they put the tie beyond a doubt with goals in each half from Saleh Al Saqri (pictured shielding the ball from Maya Yoshida) and Amine Chermiti.

Goals from Stevica Ristic and No Byung-jun ensured Pohang Steelers will meet Al Ittihad in the final of the AFC Champions League after the Koreans downed Umm Salal 2-1 at Qatar Sports Club.
Leading 2-0 from the first-leg, Sergio Farias’ men ensured there would be no semi-final comeback from the plucky hosts as they held firm over the opening 45 minutes before putting the result beyond doubt after the break.

Nagoya Grampus will be without the services of Takeuchi Akira in the 2nd leg of the AFC Champions League semi-finals against Al Ittihad on October 28.
Akira was red carded in the sixth minute of their first leg match, forcing Nagoya to manage with 10 players then on.

Headers in both halfs by captain Hwang Jae-won and Kim Jae-sung gave Pohang Steelers a deserved 2-0 win in the first leg of the AFC Champions League semi-final first leg against Qatar’s Umm Salal.

Al Ittihad’s Mohammed Noor scored a hat-trick tp inspire a 6-2 victory over 10-man Nagoya Grampus on Wednesday to put one foot in the AFC Champions League final.
Nagoya were disadvantaged following the dismissal of defender Akira Takeuchi. They did however twice take the lead through goals by Josh Kennedy and Naoshi Nakamura.

Pohang have an impressive record at the Steelyard Stadium, where they crushed former A-League winners Newcastle Jets 6-0 in the round of 16 and beat Uzbek champions Bunyodkor 4-1 in the quarter-final second leg to overturn a 3-1 loss in Tashkent.

The Jeddah giants signed Tunisia striker Amine Chermiti and Argentine forward Luciano Leguizamon on loan in August and their arrival has proved crucial following a long-term injury to Saudi Arabia striker Naif Hazazi.
