Guangzhou Evergrande cemented their position at the top of Group F of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday as Marcello Lippi’s side handed Thai Premier League champions Muangthong United a comprehensive 4-0 defeat at Tianhe Stadium.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors fought back from going a goal down to hand Urawa Reds a stunning 3-1 defeat at Saitama Stadium on Wednesday thanks to an impressive second-half display and the home side’s profligacy in front of goal in Group F of the 2013 AFC Champions League.
Genki Haraguchi gave Urawa the lead after just six minutes but second half efforts from Lee Seung-gi, Lee Dong-gook and Eninho (Enio Oliveira Junior) secured the three points for Jeonbuk and leaves Urawa in difficulties as the Group Stage reaches the halfway point.

Junya Tanaka, Ryoichi Kurisawa and Masato Kudo each scored twice as Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol maintained their 100% AFC Champions League record this season with a thrilling 6-2 win over Suwon Bluewings in Group H on Wednesday as the former semi-finalists were made to pay for converting just one of four second-half penalties.

Trent Sainsbury’s first goal for Central Coast Mariners with nine minutes remaining secured the A-League outfit just a second victory in the AFC Champions League as Wednesday’s 2-1 win over China’s Guizhou Renhe kept Graham Arnold’s side firmly in the knockout phase picture in Group H.

Buriram United 0-2 Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
Buriram United’s dream start to their maiden AFC Champions League campaign came to an end on Wednesday as former champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors finally registered a win in Group H after posting a 2-0 victory at Buriram Stadium.
Last year’s runners-up Jeonbuk were in real danger of slipping out of the qualification picture in Group H after suffering back-to-back 5-1 defeats by China’s Guangzhou Evergrande and Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol.
