Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol extended their unbeaten record in the AFC Champions League this season with a 3-2 comeback win over Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on Wednesday to deservedly seal a first appearance in the quarter-finals after completing a 5-2 aggregate victory.
Former champions Jeonbuk had given themselves hope of overturning the two-goal deficit from last week’s first leg as Tatsuya Masushima diverted the ball into his own net midway through the first half only for Hirofumi Watanabe’s header to pull Kashiwa level at the end of an eventful opening 45 minutes.
