Defiant Newcastle Jets striker, Sasho Petrovs Petrovski claims the players will put the row over bonus payments to one side as they chase the one point needed to qualify for the final 16 against. The final game will be played on Wednesday night against Ulsan Hyundai.

“The bonus payments issue was something that needed to be addressed and now it has been and we’re now just looking forward to going and getting the result we require to take us through.

Petrovsiki, with 3 goals already in the championship adds that the team will be perfectly tuned for the decider. The Jets remains as the sole Australian representative in the ACL.

“We’re flying out early. We’re going by a direct route. We’ll have an overnight stay and then a short internal flight. We’re not leaving anything to chance.”

Assuming the Jets clinch second place in the group, they will face Japanese aces Kawasaki Frontale or K-League Pahong Steelers next month in the knock-out stages.

The Jets will be without utility player Adam Griffiths, who has been ruled out through suspension.

“He’s going to be missed because of his versatility and his strength and resilience but we’ll have to get over that,” he added. “The important thing is not to concede, if we don’t do that we go through.”
