Kashima Antlers 5-0 SAFFC

Kashima Antlers manager Oswaldo Oliveira had plenty of reason to be happy after his side’s convincing 5-0 home victory over Singapore Armed Forces on Wednesday.

Midfielder Takuya Nozawa and forward Shinzo Koroki gave the J.League champions a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Captain Mitsuo Ogasawara and teenager Yuya Osako extended the advantage early in the second half before Koroki scored his second of the game to seal an emphatic win for the home side who joined Suwon Bluewings at the top of Group G with nine points.

Suwon Bluewings coach Cha Bum-kun was delighted with the performance he got from his young players as the Koreans battled back for a 2-1 victory over Shanghai Shenhua on Wednesday.

Due to injuries and fatigue, Cha was forced to start four players who had not started a game all season for Suwon.

But they all stepped up to the plate as Suwon hit back with goals from Lee Sang-ho and Bae Ki-jeong securing the three points after Yanko Valkanov had put Shanghai in the lead.

Suwon Samsung Bluewings came from behind at home to Shanghai Shenhua to win 2-1 and move three points above their Chinese rivals.
It started badly for the Koreans as Yanko Valkanov headed the visitors ahead after just 12 minutes.
The hosts hit back with two goals just before half-time. Both goals were easy on the eye. Lee Sang-ho fired home the equalizer after 41 minutes and three minutes later, Bae Ki-jong put Suwon ahead.

Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal recorded their first win of the Asian Champions League, defeating UAE’s Al Ahli 2-1 at the King Fahd International Stadium.
The three points puts the Riyadh club on to five points from three games, two behind leaders Pakhtakor.
It wasn’t all plain sailing, however. The visitors took the lead through the Young Asian Player of the Year, Ahmed Khalil, after just 12 minutes.

Japanese champions Kashima Antlers got their Asian Champions League back on track with a 2-0 win over Shanghai Shenhua while Suwon Samsung Bluewings moved three points clear at the top with a comfortable victory over Singapore Armed Forces by the same scoreline.

South Korean champions Suwon Samsung Bluewings stunned their Japanese counterparts Kashima Antlers with a 4-1 win in the opening match in Group G of the Asian Champions League.
Two goals late in the first half put Suwon in control and Kashima never looked like getting back into the game.
Former Chinese international defender Li Weifeng fired home his first goal for the Korean club just before the break and there was still enough time for Brazilian striker Eduardo to volley home a fine second.
